IDAHO FALLS, Idaho - For the second season in a row, Boise State men’s basketball will face Saint Mary’s in a neutral site game at the Mountain America Center in Idaho Falls as the Broncos and Gaels will meet on Saturday, December 14, 2024. Tickets go on sale to the public on Friday, August 2nd at 10AM on Ticketmaster.com.
The tip-off time will be announced when TV selections are made through the Mountain West Conference at a later date.
Last season, Boise State downed Saint Mary’s 63-60 in front of a crowd of nearly 5,000 in Idaho Falls. The contest was the first NCAA Division I game ever played at the Mountain America Center.
Both Boise State and Saint Mary’s went on to compete in the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
The complete 2024-25 Boise State nonconference schedule will be released later this week, but the matchup against the Gaels is the second nonconference game shared so far for the Broncos. Earlier in July, it was announced that Boise State will play in the Cayman Islands Classic from Nov. 24-26. The Broncos open the Cayman Islands Classic against Hampton on Nov. 24 before competing in up to two more games over the following two days.
Boise State is the only team in the Mountain West to return two all-conference performers this season in Tyson Degenhart and O'Mar Stanley. Head coach Leon Rice and his staff also added senior Alvaro Cardenas through the transfer portal to give the Broncos three of the top five returning players in the conference, per Bart Torvik.
Rice returns for his 15th season in the Treasure Valley as he hopes to lead Boise State back to the NCAA Tournament for an unprecedented fourth-straight season.
The Broncos are 8-6 all-time against the Gaels and 17-4 against opponents from the West Coast Conference under head coach Leon Rice.
Information about season tickets for Boise State’s complete 2024-25 home schedule will be released soon.
