Idaho French fry maker opens production facility in American Falls

Idaho Business Review’s parent company, BridgeTower Media, has added another business-to-business publication to its ranks.

On July 31, the company announced it has acquired Virginia Business based in Richmond, Virginia. The publication covers “economic activity in every sector and every region of the state of Virginia,” a release stated.

BridgeTower Media described Virginia Business as being relied upon by 47,000 executives for news and insights about the business world in the state.

Transom Capital Group- owned BridgeTower Media has been strategically expanding into what it has found to be growth markets and industries throughout the U.S. to increase its appeal to readership.

A new facility creating 135 jobs has opened in American Falls, creating one of America’s favorite foods.

Lamb Weston celebrated the opening of its latest manufacturing facility on July 30 in the southwestern region of Idaho, which will produce a new line of French fries.

The plant is more than 600,000 square fee and has the ability to product more than 1.1 million pounds of fries per day, the company stated in a release. Production began in May.

Construction on the plant began in 2022 and employed 1,000 crew putting in about 1.5 million hours of work to complete the project.

Lamb Weston has been in business for more than 70 years and is headquartered in Eagle. The company employs roughly 10,000 people globally.
