“What’s Up in Eastern Idaho!” is the first-of-its-kind yearly economic summit to be held in Eastern Idaho. The sixth annual summit will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025.
“What’s Up in Eastern Idaho!” covers hot topics affecting Southeast and East Idaho as well as national economic, business, education, workforce, and entrepreneurial ecosystems. The summit features Regional, State, and National speakers.
As a leading regional economic development organization, REDI remains focused on the future. Eastern Idaho is growing its position as one of the country’s hottest innovation hubs in the areas of advanced manufacturing, agriculture, banking & finance, energy, healthcare, information technology (cybersecurity), and outdoor products.

REDI’s CEO, along with city, county, and regional economic development professionals meet together to work on regional strategies, business development, special projects, funding and incentive programs, training, and outreach support to stimulate and grow Eastern Idaho’s regional economy.

Eastern Idaho has become a global leader in cybersecurity solutions. The Eastern Idaho Cybersecurity Alliance's mission is to foster growth and development of the cybersecurity industry through partnerships and shared resources based on the pillars of Education, Research, and Industry Engagement. Eastern Idaho has the strength of four campuses offering post-secondary degrees from Associate to PhD in cybersecurity-related fields, and home to the lead federally funded research and development center for critical infrastructure resilience and expasion of FBI's data campus to allow data to be securely collected, stored, and analyzed. While there has been and continues to be a rich community of cybersecurity experts and entrepreneurial developments over decades of time, we have formalized partnerships to strengthen research, education, and development of cyber ststems in Eastern Idaho - and beyond.
